Esports @ Hashtag
Since 2019 Hashtag has built a community for Smash Bros Ultimate that spans thousands of gamers of all skill levels. From pros like Maister and Hungrybox to first-time players, our virtual and in-person event series' (LagSpike & Smashtag) have supported the local and international fighting game community in-and-out of the pandemic for more than 200 weeks of games and provided more than $100,000 in prizes. Smashtag ran until March of 2024, where it evolved and grew to the Hashtag Cup series.
Collegiate, Pro, and Open Esports. The Mid-Atlantic region of the Hashtag Battles, with Spring and Fall Championships for Colleges and year-round tournaments for Professional and Open Play in League of Legends, Valorant, Call of Duty, Rocket League, and Overwatch.
Hashtag is currently in production on the Sunshine Battles for the South-Atlantic region and the Liberty Battles for the North-Atlantic. Midway Battles, Emerald City Battles, and LA Battles are also in early stage development.
Hashtag created a brand new event series and unique set of rules where players can earn their way to glory through placement or participation, the Hashtag Cup! Each month players participate in weekly events to play or win their way to the monthly qualifier. Then, the monthly winners get entered into the bracket for the annual Hashtag Cup final event!
